PAVEMENT SURVEY GRID · ONLINE

Your county's roads,
recon'd in 360.

RoadRecon 360 turns drone imagery into a living pavement map — AI distress detection, road-segment inventory, work orders, and capital planning in one county-grade console. Built for public works.

01 / SYSTEMS

One console.
Every road.

The modules below mirror the RoadRecon 360 app surface — from flight ingestion to the FY capital plan.

SYS-01 · INGEST

Upload Center

Drop drone sorties straight into the pipeline. Frame-level QC, ortho mosaic, tile cache — no GIS desk time required.

CORE
SYS-02 · VISION

AI Vision Engine

Ultralytics-grade pavement distress detection: alligator, block, longitudinal, transverse, potholes, raveling, patching — severity scored per defect.

CORE
SYS-03 · MAP

Live Asset Map

Every road segment on one map with defect overlays, survey recency, and PCI coloring. Zoom from district to individual crack.

CORE
SYS-04 · INVENTORY

Road Segments

A maintained inventory of every segment: surface type, width, last treatment, condition history, and drone-photo evidence.

SYS-05 · OPS

Work Orders

Flagged defects become assignable work orders with crew, status, and cost tracking — closed-loop from detection to repair.

SYS-06 · PLAN

Capital Planning

Treatment library, priority rules, and multi-year budget scenarios. Show the board exactly what each dollar buys.

SYS-07 · OPS

Inspections

Scheduled and ad-hoc inspections with templates, assignment routing, and submission review — field crews included.

SYS-08 · PUBLIC

Request Center

Public service requests land in the same console. Tri-age citizen reports against the drone survey record.

SYS-09 · REPORT

Reports Center

Executive dashboards, cost dashboards, and bulk exports. Board-ready output from the same live data.

03 / WORKFLOW

Fly. Detect. Fix.
Fund.

The loop that replaces spreadsheet pavement management.

Phase 01 · FLY

Drone survey

Fly nadir corridors at 80% overlap — a two-person crew covers what a walking survey does in weeks. Upload Center ingests frames, builds the ortho mosaic, and tiles it to the map automatically.

Phase 02 · DETECT

AI distress pass

The vision engine sweeps every tile for 14+ defect classes, severity-scores each hit, and pins it to the exact road segment — with the drone photo attached as evidence.

Phase 03 · FIX

Work orders & inspections

Prioritized defects become work orders routed to crews. Field inspections close the loop with before/after capture against the same segment record.

Phase 04 · FUND

Capital planning

Treatment library + priority rules turn condition data into FY scenarios. Cost and executive dashboards make the budget case with your own county data.

04 / PRICING

05 / FAQ

Field questions.

What drones does RoadRecon 360 support?
Any platform that produces nadir imagery with adequate overlap — DJI Enterprise fleets (Mavic 3E/3T, Matrice series) are the common baseline. If your crew can fly a mapping mission, RoadRecon can ingest it.
Which pavement defects does the AI detect?
Alligator/fatigue cracking, block cracking, longitudinal and transverse cracks, potholes, raveling, patching, and more — each with a severity score. The taxonomy is extensible per county.
Does our GIS data need to be perfect to start?
No. RoadRecon 360 builds its segment inventory from your survey flights; shapefile/GIS imports can refine it later. Most counties start from one district and expand.
Hosted or self-hosted — what's the difference?
Hosted runs on Howard TechWorks infrastructure with automatic updates. Self-hosted deploys the same console inside your county's network — your imagery never leaves your control.
Can the public submit road problems?
Yes — the Request Center accepts public service requests and tri-ages them against the drone survey record, so a citizen report is checked against what the aircraft actually saw.
How is this different from a pavement management spreadsheet?
Your condition data is objective, current, and photographic — captured by aircraft and scored by models, not by clipboard. Every budget number traces back to a defect on a specific date.
